Jakarta [Indonesia], Oct. 25 : At least 11 persons have reportedly died after a gold mine collapsed in Indonesia's western Jambi province on Tuesday.
Acccording to local media reports, the local disaster management agency said the dead miners were buried 50 meters below the collapsed mine, and added that heavy rains had triggered the incident in Simpang Parit village.
Search and rescue for the victims is underway now, but they can' t use any heavy machinery in the rescue operations as there was no road to reach the spot.
