Bhubaneswar, Aug 23 : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced that Japan will be the country partner for the Make in Odisha Conclave-2018.
The conclave is scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 11-15.
"This will provide new impetus to the relations between Odisha and Japan and open up varied sectors for collaboration," the Chief Minister said.
He said Odisha is fast emerging as the manufacturing hub of eastern India and efforts are being made towards developing the state into a manufacturing hub of South Asia.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister would attend an investment roadshow in New Delhi on September 12 to showcase investment potential and business ecosystem of the state.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had attended a roadshow in Mumbai on August 8.
Business leaders drawn from 300 companies participated in the Mumbai roadshow to explore investment opportunities in Odisha.
The Chief Minister invited them to participate in the Make in Odisha conclave.
The inaugural edition of Make in Odisha drew investment intents valued worth Rs 2.03 trillion.
