Timesaverz achieves break-even, rides high on home cleaning category

New Delhi [India], Sep 2 : India's first on-demand home services company Timesaverz has achieved breakeven in two out of the six categories it is operational in across seven cities of operation.

Taking the Swacch Bharat campaign motive to homes three years back by introducing professional home cleaning as one of its introductory services, Timesaverz today boasts of 22 percent of revenue in its kitty from this category which has since inception gone on to expand into more than a dozen services including sofa cleaning, car cleaning, carpet cleaning, windows cleaning, kitchen cleaning, washroom cleaning and others.

"We were the pioneers in aggregating the professional home cleaning business and creating a awareness around the merits of such a service.

Our constant efforts in building more depth into the category has not only helped Timesaverz attain break even in this category across all operating cities but also contributed to a change in the consumer behavior in terms of adoption of a new service category, which, till about three years back, was restricted to a top-up Diwali cleaning of homes by regular maids," said CEO of Timesaverz, Debadutta Upadhyaya.

From just about one service in a year, this category has evolved to an uptake of around four services in a year in an average household, the average work order size growing by five times and bachelors' pads contributing to the second highest source apart from homes of working couples.

What is interesting is that pricing still is the governing factor behind the choice and it is more of women adopting this category than men.

The company now aims to build on more specialized cleaning services as also make an entry into the office cleaning space on the back of its strong B2B portfolio.
