New Delhi, Feb 8 : After casting her vote along with family members, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, here on Saturday, appealed the people to vote for development.
Speaking to the media, Priyanka said, "I hope the people of Delhi will vote for development, progress and the issues that matter to them most.
They should not be distracted by issues that don't pertain to development."
Asked about the Congress lacklustre campaign in the elections, she said the party had put in good effort.
"I hope for the best," she said.
On protests against new citizenship law (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and provocative speeches during the campaign, the Congress leader said, "I have always said the people should not be distracted from the issues that affect their lives."
The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years from 1998 to 2013, is looking for a comeback in this election.
