New Delhi [India], Sept. 28 : Looks like John Abraham will indeed justify his recent tweet 'Twice the Force' word by word, which he wrote while releasing the poster of 'Force 2' recently.
After lifting a 150 kilogram bike in the 2011 action thriller 'Force,' the 43-year-old actor will now be seen taking his onscreen daredevilry up a notch in the sequel, by lifting a Mercedes-Benz weighing over 1580 kilogram.
John lifting the bike became the USP of the first installment, hence director Abhinay Deo is to now double the force in 'Force 2' by delivering the audience with a visual which will be etched in their memory forever.
Speaking on the same, producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah said, "When John lifted the bike, it became a talking point even though many claimed that it was a tweaked shot carried out with trick photography.
But he proved all of the sceptics wrong by lifting the bike at a press conference during the film's promotions.
When we were discussing Force 2, John himself came up with the idea of lifting a car, as the plan was to make the sequel bigger and better than the original." "Obviously, one can't lift a car completely on their own.
But John worked extremely hard on the sequence. Most people can't even do one-tenth of what John has done in this film. Also, director Abhinay Deo has executed the sequence well," he added. It was not easy for the 'Dishoom' actor to shoot the power packed sequence amidst nursing a knee injury.
John, who busted his knee while shooting for the film in Romania last year and subsequently underwent three corrective surgeries, shot for the Mercedes sequence earlier this month in Mumbai.
"He began prepping up by working out in the gym for six-seven hours every day and keeping a close watch on his diet four-five months before we began shooting.
However, it was tricky as he hadn't been able to go to the gym after the accident and so he had to start gaining weight from scratch.
He has done a commendable job," Vipul exclaimed. The actor released the poster yesterday on social media and wrote alongside, "He's Tough. He's Intense (and) he's back in action with Twice the Force! Presenting ACP Yashwardhan for @Force2thefilm." The poster shows John in a very rugged look with infuriated eyes.
Written on the poster are 'The R.A.W Truth' and 'A dead soldier is a martyr.a dead spy is a traitor,' which hints to something very exciting and electrifying coming up.
'Force 2,' also starring Sonakshi Sinha will hit the theatres on November 18..
