Bengaluru, April 26 : One woman died of Covid-19 in Karnataka while three more people, including two women, tested positive, taking the state's tally to 503, an official said on Sunday.
"The latest victim is a 45-year-old woman in Bengaluru, who was admitted in a state-run hospital on April 24, with a complaint of SARI and history of pneumonia.
She was also diabetic, and had tuberculosis (TB)," a health official said in a statement here.
Of the total cases, 302 are active, 182 discharged and 19 dead.
"Of the active cases, 296 in isolation at the designated hospitals are stable, while 6 are in the intensive care unit (ICU)," the official said.
Of the three new cases, two are from Kalaburagi in the northern region and one from Dakshina Kannada district on the coast.
They are contacts of three infected patients.
"No positive case in Bengaluru on Sunday after 13 on Saturday," said the official.
Bengaluru remains the highest hotspot, with 133 cases, including 71 active, and 5 dead, followed by Mysuru with 89 (51 active), Belagavi 54 (47 active, 1 dead), Vijayapura 39 (37 active, 2 dead), Kalaburagi 38 (27 active, 4 dead) and Bagalkote 24 total (17 active, 1 dead)
"Contact tracing has been initiated and is in progress for all cases," he added.
Of the 3,815 samples tested on Sunday, 3,319 turned negative.
