Mumbai, Oct 6 : As part of the trendsetter "My Family, My Responsibility" (MFMR) initiative of the Maharashtra government, a health team on Tuesday subjected Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his family to a basic Corona checkup, an official said.
The team carried out the fever test, oxygen level test and asked questions on the overall health condition of all members of the Thackeray household.
They included Thackeray's wife Rashmi and son and Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray, besides other kin and staffers, at his 'Matoshri' residence in Bandra east.
On his part, the CM enquired from the health team on the progress and response to the MFMR - which earned a mention from the Centre last month as it recommended similar strategies in other states affected hard by coronavirus.
Under the MFMR, thousands of health teams have fanned out across the state to perform primary Covid-19 checkup covering crores of people in all age groups, detect potential patients with or without symptoms, who are then screened and sent for further tests or treatment, as maybe required.
The valuable data collected from these door-to-door visits will be utilised to create a 'Health Map' of the state and further strengthen the "Chase the Virus" programme to combat Covid.
On the Covid front, Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit in the country with 38,347 deaths and 14,53,653 cases of which more than five lakh are in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, as of October 5.
