Mumbai [India], Oct.29 : Harmanpreet Kaur was on Saturday announced as the new skipper of the Indian women's T20 side, replacing veteran Mithali Raj, for the three-match series against West Indies starting from November 18 in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh.
Harmanpreet will also lead the Indian squad in the Asia Cup Women's Championship, which will be played at Thailand from November 27.
Meanwhile, Mithali Raj will lead the 15-man ODI squad for the three matches against the Caribbean side which will be played prior to the T20 series.
