Karachi [Pakistan], Nov. 26 :Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owner Zalmi Javed Afridi has sought Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Anurag Thakur's approval to allow the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams to play against PSL teams on neutral venues.
"Such events will help promote peace between the two countries," Javed Afridi said According to the Dawn, the Peshawar Zalmi owner also met the owners of some of the IPL teams in New Delhi and informed about the discussion he had with Thakur to hold such matches.
"We are in touch with them to play some matches between PSL and IPL teams, but for that we will need the approval of BCCI," Afridi insisted.
During the discussion, Afridi had also presented a Peshawar Zalmi t-shirt to the BCCI chief. The two hostile neighbours have not played a full bilateral series after the Mumbai terror attacks in November 2008.
