New Delhi [India], Apr. 15 : President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday greeted the nation on the eve of Easter and wished that the festival would inspire people to "follow the path of love, truth, sacrifice and forgiveness." "On the joyous occasion of Easter, I extend best wishes and felicitations to all my countrymen in India and abroad, especially to my Christian brothers and sisters," President Mukherjee said in a message.
The President urged people to remain united to uproot violence and hatred from society. "May this Easter be a time of renewal and rejuvenation. The teachings of Lord Jesus Christ inspire us to lead a life filled with truth, forgiveness, love and selfless service.
Let us unite together to eradicate violence and hatred from society," he said. "Let us dedicate ourselves to the service of the weak and downtrodden," the President added..
