J-K: BSF soldier dies during training

Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 13 : A Border Security Force (BSF) soldier lost his life while undergoing a field training test activity at the Subsidiary Training Center, Dhar Road here.

In the early hours of Friday morning, Constable Anil Kumar was enrolled in the Junior Leadership Course for promotion from Constable to Head Constable for over eight weeks and was set to complete his training on Saturday.

Before the commencement of the final Field Physical Efficiency Test's (FPET) 3.2 km run, no complaint of any nature was expressed by him.

However, just a few metres short of the end point, he collapsed. He was immediately attended to by a doctor who put him on an oxygen supply and shifted him to a civil hospital.

However, he was declared dead upon arrival. A native of Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, the late constable is survived by wife Archana Devi, two sons and one daughter.
