Islamabad, Aug. 20 : Blacklisted American citizen Matthew Craig Barrett, who was facing a second expulsion from Pakistan, was on Saturday deported from the country.
In view of the court's orders, Barret, amid tight security was deported from Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport to New York on a Pakistan International Airlines flight, reports the Express Tribune.
Reports suggest that, he was released from Adiala jail on Friday for deportation after being shifted to Lahore from Islamabad by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
On Friday, a special court had endorsed a plan to deport Barrett from the country 12 days after he was arrested at Islamabad airport.
He was on expelled from the country in 2011 after being found near a sensitive military installation. Barret, 33, had earlier lived in Pakistan for four years, married a Pakistani woman and had two children.
