Washington D.C., Aug. 25 : As pleasant surprise for the fans of Britney spears, Lifetime is coming up with a biopic featuring the tumultuous story of her rise to fame, fall from grace and eventual triumphant resurrection.
Actress Natasha Bassett will be seen playing the role of the 'Blackout' hit-maker in the two-hour long movie.
The filming of this biopic, scheduled to premiere on lifetime in 2017, will begin next month in Vancouver, reports TMZ.
The movie will present Spears' journey, commencing as a young girl from Louisiana trying to earn fame in the music industry, her affairs with fellow pop singer, her tabloid breakup with Timberlake and her private life crumbling after the divorce of her parents.
The movie will also touch aspects of her quick marriage to a childhood friend and later an ill-fated marriage to dancer Kevin Federline.
With her life going out of hands, Spears lost custody of her sons. The film will show how despite numerous troubles in past, the popstar battled back to rebuild her career.
However, the 'Femme Fatale' crooner "will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the Lifetime biopic nor does it have her blessing," a rep for the singer told in a statement.
The movie is produced by Lifetime, helmed by Leslie Libman and is scripted by Anne-Marie Hess..
