AAP boycotts joint Parliament sitting

New Delhi, Nov 26 : The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday boycotted the joint Parliament sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on the Constitution Day, saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has no right to celebrate the day after destroying the Constitution.

"The BJP has no right to celebrate the Constitution Day after destroying it, and so the AAP has decided to boycott the joint Parliament session," Singh, the Leader of AAP in Rajya Sabha, said.

He added that the BJP is "hurting the constitutional values".

"It openly abuses the Raj Bhavan and pretends to observe Constitution Day, the soul of Baba Saheb must be weeping with BJP dictatorship," Singh added.

The opposition is unhappy with the BJP for forming a government in Maharashtra, saying it was "the murder of the democracy".

In a sudden development on Saturday, Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Maharashtra Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar as his deputy by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

The Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP, who were planning to form a government, challenged the BJP -Ajit Pawar government formation in the Supreme Court.
