Kabul [Afghanistan], Nov. 19 : At least 13 insurgents have been killed and 17 others injured in Afghan security forces' ground operations and in air strikes carried out in Afghanistan's Sar-e-Pul province.
According to the Provincial governor spokesman Zabiullah Amani, the clearance operation was conducted in Sayad district in which one Afghan security force member was killed and two others were injured and a possible attack on the district center by the Taliban was also neutralized.
Meanwhile, local officials said on Saturday that seven Afghan policemen were killed in a clash between Afghan security forces and the Taliban in Ghazni province, reports Tolo News.
Ghazni Police Chief Aminullah Amarkahil said that 12 Taliban insurgents were also killed in the clash that started following Taliban insurgents attacking police check posts in Andar district of Ghazni province.
