New Delhi, July 25: After watching her intense films like 'Highway' and 'Udta Punjab,' if you think Alia Bhatt will turn into a realistic-movie actor, then you are absolutely wrong as she has revealed that she wants to taste every possible genre, including "massive masala movies." According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the 23-year-old actress said, "I want to make this very clear.
I don't want to be one of those actors who is identified with one genre of cinema. Of course, I want to do realistic films, but I also want to do films that are completely the opposite.
I want to do massive masala movies." While speaking about her last rom-com 'Shaandaar,' Alia said, "I want to do an out-and-out comedy where I get to try out my comic timing.
People feel that Shaandaar was a comedy movie of mine, but I never saw the film as comedy." The 'Student of the Year' star is currently shooting for Abhishek Burman's comedy 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya' with Varun Dhawan.
This happens to be the second movie for Alia in Karan Johar's 'Dulhaniya' franchise. "It's like a family reunion. Trust me, apart from the same faces, there's no similarity between Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath.
It's interesting to be a part of a love franchise; we've never had that before," she said. Other than this, Alia Bhatt will soon be seen in Gauri Shinde's 'Dear Zindagi,' scheduled to release on November 25.
The movie will also star Shah Rukh Khan, Ali Zafar, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor and Angad Bedi..
