Automobile Society to give skill development push to auto sector

New Delhi [India], May 13 : The Automobile Society (India) is planning to establish more student chapters and regional offices all over India to promote skill development programmes in the field of automobile and related sectors.

In 2014, the Society established a state private technical university in Arunachal Pradesh, namely North East Frontier Technical University.

According to a statement, the Society also completed training for at least 5000 students under National Skill Development Council (NSDC) star programme.

Society is the permanent member of Engineering Council of India and member of various Indian institutions and is a training partner for automobile skill sector with Council, NSDC and Government of India.

The Automobile Society (India), which is a professional body to promote various activities in the field of automobile industry, has expanded its new office to Gurugram, Haryana.

It provides different memberships such as Honorary Fellow, Fellow Member, Associate and Organisational Membership and Student Membership.

The Automobile Society also conducts Technician Membership examination and senior technician membership examination for their student members through Institution of Automobile Engineers India.

As per the direction of MHRD, Automobile Society India also submitted the file to the Statutory Council that is AICTE on April 24, 2017 regarding its technician membership and associate membership programmes for the purpose of government employment.
