Washington D.C [USA], Nov.28 : A perfect daughter to a proud father- Bindi Irwin proves it again during the Thanksgiving weekend.
The 18-year-old daughter of crocodile hunter Steve Irwin, who died in 2006 after being attacked by a stingray, continued to honour her late father's legacy while attending the 10th annual Steve Irwin Gala dinner, reports E! Online.
Before the philanthropic event, where Steve's passion for animals was felt by many, officially began, the former 'Dancing With the Stars' champion hit the red carpet with her boyfriend Chandler Powell, mother Terri and younger brother Robert.
"Tonight we will be raising funds for all of the animals that come through our doors at the Wildlife Hospital for life saving treatment," Bindi explained to her followers before stepping on stage.
"Together, we're continuing Dad's legacy to protect our wildlife. Thank you for sharing this journey with us." She even took to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Instagram page to give fans an inside look into the event and also shared some moments from past, with her daddy dearest.
In between honouring the youngest change-makers or reliving all the positive work done in the past 12 months, Bindi couldn't help but acknowledge the man who started it all.
"As the #SteveIrwinGala comes to an end this year we reflect on the beautiful memories we have of the ultimate Wildlife Warrior, my Dad, Steve Irwin," she shared on Instagram.
"His legacy will live on forever." Back in September, family, friends and fans marked the 10-year anniversary of Steve's death.
While the family marked the occasion in private, the lovely daughter shared a heartfelt post on the same day as Australia's Father's Day.
"You'll be my hero for my entire existence. I love you more than words can describe," she wrote with a throwback photo..
