New Delhi [India], Aug. 31 : In the wake of 2017 assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Wednesday appointed Union Health Minister J.P.
Nadda and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as in-charge of party affairs in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand's Legislative Assembly elections would be held next year for the 70 seats of the Vidhan Sabha.
In the previous election in 2012, the Congress Party won a majority and formed government under the leadership of Harish Rawat.
The dates of the elections are yet to be announced. As per reports, Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has been appointed in-charge of Manipur.
