Johannesburg, Aug 19 : Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has left an indelible mark on the annals of sports history by winning a third successive Olympic 200m gold in front of a jubilant crowd in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
The 29-year-old clocked 19.78 seconds to clinch the gold medal ahead of Canadian Andre de Grasse and France's Christophe Lemaitre, who claimed silver and bronze respectively, Sport24 reported.
This was Bolt's eighth Olympic title and he will aim to complete an unprecedented 'triple treble' in Friday's 4x100m relay final.
