Brad Pitt clears child abuse investigation

Washington D.C. [USA], Nov. 10 : Looks like the wind is in favour of Brad Pitt, who is currently in the custody battle for his six children with Angelina Jolie.

The 52-year-old actor has been cleared of child abuse allegations by the Los Angeles Country Department of Children and Family Services, reports TMZ.com.

According to the article, the department has closed its child abuse investigation into an incident on a private jet between Pitt and 15-year-old Maddox.

A spokesperson for Jolie released a statement that said, "The job of the DCFS is to make sure the children are in a safe and secure situation.

As we said earlier this week, childcare professionals encouraged a legal agreement accepted and signed by both sides that was in the best interest of the children." "Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal," the spokesperson added.

At the time of her filing for divorce, the Academy Award winner had asked for sole physical custody of the former couple's six children.

This was recently granted her despite the father filing for joint custody. "The six children will stay in their mother's custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father," said a recent statement made by the actress' spokesperson.
