Getting roles chopped and being replaced is something very common among actors, especially for outsiders. In a recent interview, actress Isha Koppikar who has worked in films like Krishna Cottage, Rudraksh and Darna Mana Hai spoke how her Kaante director Sanjay Gupta cut her full-fledged role to just the item song 'Ishq Samundar'. The actress has also worked in several films in the south.
Isha Koppikar said that she had no one to guide her in the industry. When ‘Khallas’ happened, she got type-casted as some with a pretty face and can dance. Talking about Kaante, she said that she was offered several dance numbers at the time she did ‘Ishq Samundar’ but refused to be a part of those. She revealed that she was supposed to have a role in the film but it did not happen. Isha further said that she was informed that her role is that of Sanjay Dutt's girlfriend. Later, she was told that the length of the film was too long and so to shorten it they had to let go off her role. The actress feels that she was too naive and took people for their face value.
Being one of the victims of nepotism in Bollywood, Isha said that a lot of times she was replaced after the parents of star kids would call and take away the role. She also said that there were times when she would be replaced when she did not agree to get in the good books of her co-actor.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Isha will next be seen in Ankur Bhatia's Assi Nabbe Poorey Sau with Divyendu.

TED Talks India Nayi Baat is back with its second season and we are already inspired by the first two episodes of the show that went on air on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday on November 2.
In the upcoming week, we will see speaker, Manoj Kumar, who shifted from his well-established career in banking to social sector and founded Naandi Foundation. Manoj disrupted the NGO space in India by being the first to create a sustainable model of outsourcing government programs and demonstrating successful large-scale implementation with efficiency and outcomes.
Along with the Adivasis of Araku, Naandi developed not just an organically grown, global award-winning brand, called Araku Coffee, but also a successful agricultural model that can be replicated across the country. Manoj even invited one of his workers, Sundarama along with his son who gifted her Araku Coffee plant to Shah Rukh Khan. He said, “I love coffee. One cup of coffee in the morning keeps me going through the day.”
Sundarama, is the coffee estate owner from Araku, who only communicated in her local language. She told everyone about the gift she bought for King Khan. To everyone’s surprise, Shah Rukh Khan translated everything she said in Telugu on his own and responded back to her that made her smile.
Shah Rukh Khan even expressed his wish to take the beautiful woman and his child for dinner to make them feel comfortable in an unknown city.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar's Bala hit the theatres a day back, and is getting rave reviews. The audience seems to love the film's humour, the underlying messages as well as the actors' performances. However, all might not be well since the film reportedly got leaked on piracy website Tamilrockers within a day after its release.
The Madras High Court, earlier, had asked a long list of websites including Tamilrockers to be blocked. However, the website seems to dodge away using proxy servers. Earlier, innumerable Bollywood films including many recent releases such as Kabir Singh, Thugs of Hindostan, War, Housefull 4, Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China were leaked. South biggies including Thalapathy Vijay’s Bigil and Karthi’s Kaithi also fell prey to the notorious piracy website.
Bala, helmed by Stree director Amar Kaushik, revolves around a man suffering from alopecia and how the uncontrollable baldness starts affecting other aspects of his life, including social and personal, as well. It also stars Yami Gautam in a pivotal character, and has got a strong opening day, minting around Rs 10 crore. Let's see whether it manages to go strong in the week to come!

A few days back, Bollywood Hungama made the exclusive revelation that Akshay Kumar is all set to do an action-packed entertainer, directed by Lucknow Central director Ranjit Tiwari. It is produced by Akshay, Nikkhil Advani and Vashu Bhagnani and will be a grand film shot in international locations.
Now we bring to you yet another exciting as well as exclusive information about this much awaited flick. The film in question is a remake of a very successful and entertaining South film. A source says, “The Akshay Kumar starrer is an official adaption of a Kannada film, titled Bell Bottom. It released earlier this year and was directed by Jayathirtha with Rishab Shetty and Haripriya playing the lead roles. It was one of the biggest Kannada hits of 2019 and was loved for its entertainment quotient and for bringing the 80s era alive beautifully on screen. Nikkhil Advani saw the film and instantly decided to buy its remake rights as he saw immense potential in the film. He also decided to let Ranjit Tiwari handle it. Though his first film Lucknow Central failed, Nikkhil trusts his capabilities. And then Akshay came on board too. The scripting of the film is underway and is expected to be completed before the end of 2019.”
The source further adds, “Along with Akshay Kumar, Nikkhil Advani and Vashu Bhagnani, even Bhushan Kumar of T-Series is expected to come on board as producers. They are planning to name the remake as Bell Bottom as well but will take a final call in a while since they have few more titles in mind too.”
The original Bell Bottom film is set in the 80s and is about a police constable who gets a chance to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a detective when a mysterious robbery takes place at the local police station. Interestingly, the Tamil remake of this flick is already underway and is being directed by Sathyasiva. A Telugu remake is also in the pipeline. Meanwhile, the producers of the original film are so thrilled with the response that they have already planned a sequel to the film. It will be called Bell Bottom 2 and is expected to go on floors in the beginning of 2020.

Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting the 11th season of the reality game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show which has managed to stay strong on the TRP charts recently got into a controversy which led to #BoycottKBC to trend on Twitter.
On Thursday's episode, Amitabh Bachchan asked the contestant on the hot seat a question based on the Indian history. The question put up by the host was, “Which of these rulers was the contemporary of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb?” The four options were, Maharana Pratap, Rana Sanga, Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Shivaji.
Soon after netizens criticized the show and Amitabh Bachchan for referring the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb as Samrat and calling the historical ruler of Maratha just by his name-Shivaji. Several people asked the channel and the actor to issue an apology for not using a salutation before taking the Maratha ruler's name.
After the outrage, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to apologise to all those whose sentiments were hurt. He wrote, "No disrespect meant at all .. apologies if it has hurt sentiments .."

Bollywood Hungama was the first one to tell you yesterday that the ‘Naina Lade’ song of Dabangg 3 was initially sung by famous Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. ‘Naina’ is a flagship song of the franchise and the singer had sung ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’ and ‘Tore Naina Dagabaaz Re’ in Dabangg and Dabangg 2 respectively. Hence, it was natural for Salman Khan and music director duo Sajid-Wajid to rope in Rahat for the ‘Naina’ track in the third instalment as well. The song was recorded successfully, after which the relations strained between India and Pakistan. As a result, Salman Khan and the entire Dabangg 3 team decided to drop his voice. He was then replaced by Javed Ali.
It has now come to light that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan understood why Salman Khan took this decision of replacing his voice and has no hard feelings. Rahat’s producer and global promoter Salman Ahmed confirmed this fact to Pakistani newspaper Dawn and also revealed that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sung not one, but two songs for Dabangg 3. “Basically two songs were recorded for Dabangg 3. Everyone wanted the songs and they're really good. This song ‘Naina’ is lovely and everyone misses the fact that Rahat sahab's version couldn't go on. But at the end of the day of course he (Salman Khan) has to see the interests of his country, so I don’t think the artist has choices there given the circumstances,” says Salman Ahmed.
Salman Ahmed further adds, “If the song (Rahat’s version) would’ve been released, there’d be controversies, the film would have been affected and nobody wants that. That’s why we didn’t do the song,” and also makes it clear, “It’s not bad blood. It’s not like Salman Khan purposely dropped the song.”
Salman Ahmed signed off by stating, “At this moment, (given) the emotions and sentiments of that industry and the country, he (Salman) only adhered to them. Otherwise we all know there are people who want a reason to damage Salman Khan’s reputation by creating a fuss and having needless controversies. There’s no bad blood, nothing intentional. I would say it is more circumstantial than anything else and that’s about it.”
