New Delhi[India], Nov. 24: The Congress Party on Thursday alleged that the government is disregarding the will of the people by not allowing Parliament to function.
"Truth of the matter is ruling party does not want parliament to function as Prime Minister is not wanting to come to Parliament, not wanting to be accountable, not accountable to the people of India on demonetisation and answer the relevant question causing great pain, agony and anguish to the common person,"Congress Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said.
"You(PM Modi) are disregarding the will of people who elected you by trampling upon an institution like Parliament and disrespecting it by ignoring the institution by blocking the institution from functioning and by creating divide and rule policy inside and outside the house," he told ANI here.
"Unfortunately, people want answers from Centre and also from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Those answers would have to be given for your one unwitting decision of demonetisation that has plunged the country into economic chaos," he added.
