New Delhi [India], Oct 24 : Congress chief ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit on Monday asserted that Priyanka Gandhi will act as a catalyst and give the grand old party's campaign in the politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh a major boost.
The Congress veteran, who has been aggressively campaigning in Uttar Pradesh which is scheduled to go for polls early next year, said all party workers are patiently waiting for Priyanka to participate in the poll campaign.
"I hope that she campaigns but the final decision is hers. We are eagerly waiting and willing. All our workers are willing and her participating in the campaign will have a massive positive impact too," said Dikshit.
The Congress members are seeking a Priyanka push for the party to regain some poise ahead of the crucial Uttar Pradesh elections after its former state chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi joined the BJP on Thursday.
