Mumbai (India), Feb. 24 : Deepika Padukone, who took everyone by storm in her Hollywood debut 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage,' feels elated after the success of the movie.
The 31 year-old, who was recently spotted at a promotional event, shared how heartening it was to see Indian audiences embrace her debut Hollywood project.
"What really got me emotional was the way India embraced the film. Everything I did in the movie, the performance or the way I spoke, were very well received and that made me really happy.
To step out of your comfort zone and work in a territory, you are unfamiliar with and to see that translate into this kind of love and appreciation, it makes me feel like it is worth taking all of those risks," she said.
The 'Piku' star also quashed the rumors of starring in the remake of Hollywood movie, 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith,' which originally starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, saying that these all are baseless rumors and that the only movie she is doing right now is 'Padmavati'.
On a related note, Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati,' alongside Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, which is slated to release on November 17, 2017.
