New Delhi [India], Nov 23 : Following the outrage after cops were seen brutally thrashing people standing in bank queues, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday asserted that his government, in the wake of demonetisation, will take all measures to provide relieve to the people of the state.
In a statement, Yadav said that he is with the people of the state and will leave no stone turned in helping the poor and marginalised hit by the demonetisation drive.
He further also stressed that he has ordered the authorities to deal all the matter pertaining with demonetisation with sensitivity.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister had yesterday suspended Superintendent of Police (SP) of Fatehpur district Ram Kishore and Station Officer (SO) of Kishanpur police station Sanjay Kumar Yadav, taking cognisance of a video showing a homeguard cane-charging people queued up outside a bank.
