London [UK], Nov. 16 : World No. 2 Novak Djokovic entered the semi-finals of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals after he claimed a straight sets-victory against Canada's Milos Raonic on Tuesday for his second match win in Group Ivan Lendl.
Djokovic defeated the fourth seeded Canadian 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (7-5) at the O2 Arena to became the first player to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
If the Serbian goes on to win the title, he will claim year-end No. 1 in the Emirates ATP Rankings. The five-time champion will now face sixth seeded Gael Monfils on Thursday in a bid to make it to the summit showdown.
Raonic faces Thiem for the other semi-final place on Thursday. Meanwhile, newly crowned World No. 1 Andy Murray will try to join Djokovic in the last four when he plays Japan's Kei Nishikori in the John McEnroe Group on Wednesday.
