DocsApp extends its support to govt, introduces free consultation services to women Pan India

New Delhi [India], Aug 09 : Continuing to fulfill its promise of making quality medical consultation accessible across geographical locations, DocsApp, a chat based healthcare platform that connects patients to specialist doctors in less than 30 minutes, has now launched a service that exclusively benefits women.

Women across India can now consult a doctor free of cost through DocsApp today, from 9 am to 9 pm. This exceptional service is launched keeping in mind the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to cut down the number of maternal and neonatal deaths in our country.

The PMSMA aims to provide assured, comprehensive and quality antenatal care, free of cost, across the country to all pregnant women on the 9th of every month.

Following the footsteps of PMSMA, the app will provide free consultations for all women's related issues in the Gynecology and Infertility department today.

About 0.75 million neo-natal deaths occurs in India per year, the highest in the world. In an attempt to curb this dubious distinction, DocsApp has dedicated its latest services to create awareness and help women consult a specialist regarding any women health issues like Menopause, PCOD, EcPs etc.

Pregnant ladies who feel uncomfortable asking their doctor certain questions or want a second opinion can now easily do so from the comfort of their homes through DocsApp.

Any health-related queries can be put forward and free consultation will be available today. DocsApp is already proficient in areas such as Gynecology, Infertility, Sexology, Pediatrics, General Medicine, Oncology and more.

Commenting on the new service, Satish Kannan, CEO and co-founder, DocsApp said, "DocsApp understands the importance of women's health; women put the needs of their family ahead of theirs and sometimes fail to pay attention to their health.

We have launched this service to remind them to take care of themselves and not neglect the health issues.

Along with the government's initiative to provide free services to women at government health facilities, we too aim to create awareness about women's health issues.

Moreover with DocsApp, they don't have to depend on anyone to accompany them to the visit the doctor, they can do so using their smartphone from anywhere at any time.
