Karachi, Aug.24 : England limited-overs skipper Eoin Morgan has hinted his side could consider the unusual option of playing three spinners in the five-match ODI series against Pakistan, starting from Wednesday at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground in Southampton.
Although England have been content to play just the lone specialist slow bowler in the recent times, the demand to prepare for the spin-friendly pitches could prompt them to change their approach.
Reflecting on the same, Morgan said his side had been considering to give left-arm spinner Liam Dawson an opportunity to make his ODI debut at the home ground along with off-spinner Moeen Ali and leg-break bowler Adil Rashid ahead of the winter tours of Bangladesh and India.
Admitting that the series against Pakistan would be `tough`, the 29-year-old, however, said his side were fully geared up for the upcoming challenge ahead of the winter tours, the Dawn reported.
Meanwhile, Morgan also backed opener Alex Hales, who struggled with form in the recently drawn 2-2 Test series against Pakistan, having notched up just 145 runs at an average of 18.12.
While observing that Hales played well in the limited-overs matches against South Africa last year, Morgan called on the Nottinghamshire opener to play with full freedom in the white-ball cricket.
