New Delhi [India], Oct 2 : An exhibition of art works by 70 young and aspiring artists is being organised by National Institute of Fine Arts (NIFA) at All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society in the national capital.
The seven-day annual exhibition 'Creciente' celebrates successful year of its art students, their hard work in its entire colour and forms at the well designed cultural space 'AIFACS'.
With this art extravaganza, NIFA is providing each upcoming art student an opportunity to exhibit the multi-dimensional and original art works, besides welcoming artists, gallerists, collectors, art connoisseurs and the general public.
The exhibition was inaugurated recently by Jorge Juan Castaneda Mendez (Ambassador of Peru to India), Padmabhushan Ram V Sutar (President of AIFACS), Prof.
Professor Prem Singh (Former Principal of Govt. College of Art, Chandigarh), Niladri Paul (Eminent Artist), Nawal Kishore (Eminent Artist), Renu Khera (MD, NIFA), Sunil Khera (Chairman, NIFA) and other guests that included the parents of showcasing artists and faculty members.
"Creciente is a Spanish word which means growing or rising. This show is a platform for 70 future artists who wish to create a name in the field of art," says Renu Khera.
"The seven-day exhibition will showcase approximately 150 art works by the students who have put in a lot of effort throughout the year.
Their work is based on various subjects, such as, life, nature, spirituality, freedom, hope and happiness.
The basic purpose of the exhibition is to provide a platform to the emerging young artists and to spread their art skills," she added.
An elated art lover, Ambassador of Peru in India Jorge Juan Castaneda Mendez said, "I am very impressed by seeing the young artists' thinking and their art skills.
They have done a wonderful job." The exhibition will run till October 5..
