Kathmandu, July 28 : Asserting it is not the right time, the Federal Alliance on Thursday hinted that it might join the government in Nepal sometime later.
During a meeting of the bloc held in Kathmandu today, Federal Alliance spokesperson Om Gurung said that it was decided by the bloc to take an appropriate decision later in consultation with big constituents of the new ruling alliance, Nepali Congress and Communist Party of Nepal- Maoist Centre, reports the Himalayan Times.
The alliance concluded that the present time was not ripe to make a decision on the issue. It, however, demanded that the Local Body Restructuring Commission should stop work till the concerns of various political groups over contentious issues about the Constitution is addressed.
It was also decided in the meeting to continue its ongoing protest programmes till all of its demands are met.
Federal Alliance is a coalition of over two dozen regional based Nepalese political parties demanding the formation of autonomous provinces based on the size of population among other demands.
