Johannesburg, July 31 : Three-time world champion Lewis Hamilton continued his dominant run as he emerged as the quickest driver in the German Grand Prix to extend his championship lead over Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg to 19 points.
Meanwhile, Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo occupied third spot followed by team-mate Max Verstappen and Rosberg, Sport24 reported.
The race also saw Rosberg suffer a five-second time penalty after he was judged to have driven Verstappen off the track.
It was Hamilton's 49th victory of the career and third win in Germany. Hamilton , who was trailing Rosberg by 43 points just two months ago, bounced back in style to win six consecutive races of the season to head into the summer break with a firm grip of the championship.
