What is Neuritis?

Optic Neuritis is used to refer any degeneration or inflammation in the optic nerve. It is a cause of acute vision loss, and is associated with multiple sclerosis. When only one nerve is involved it is called mononeuritis, and if many nerves are involved it is called polyneuritis.
 

Common Causes of Neuritis

  • Nerve damage
  • Viral illness
  • Blood supply disorders to the optic nerve
  • Meningitis
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Tuberculosis
  • Demyelination
  • Syphilis
  • Paranasal sinus infection

 
Home Remedies for Neuritis

Tips 1:

1 cup of Soya bean milk mixed with 1 tspn of honey taken every night for 3-4 months.
 
Tips 2:

Soak Soya beans in water for 12 hours. Peel them and wash well. Grind to a fine paste.Add water and boil well Strain.
 
Tips 3:

Boil I tblspn of Barley with 2 glasses of water. Cool and strain. Add 1 cup of buttermilk and some lime juice. Drink this two times a day.
