Karachi [Pakistan], Aug.28 : Pakistan dealt with a major blow ahead of the third ODI of the five-match series against England as opener Mohammad Hafeez, who is suffering from a calf injury, has been ruled out of the rest of the matches.
The 35-year-old sustained pain in his left calf and had a minor strain ahead of the second ODI, which England yesterday went on to win by four wickets with 15 balls to spare.
According to the Dawn, Hafeez is expected to stay in England for intensive rehabilitation in order to regain his physical form.
Meanwhile, England have now called in fast bowler Mohammad Irfan as Hafeez's replacement for remainder of the series.
Pakistan, who are currently trailing 0-2 in the series, will have to win the next crucial match, which is to be held at Nottingham's Trent Bridge on Tuesday.
