Jaddu gives thumbs up to PM’s demonetisation drive

Bengaluru [India], Dec.21 : Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who wreaked havoc on England batsmen during the fifth and the final Test, has backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation drive, saying he is not facing any problem.

"I am not facing any problem because of demonetisation. Till the time everything is going well, it's good," Jadeja. Karun Nair's unbeaten 303 and Jadeja's 7 for 48 in the second innings helped India win the final Test in Chennai by an innings and 75 runs to finish the five-match series 4-0 against England.

Lavishing praise over his team's overall effort, Jadeja said each player in the team played his role very well and also insisted that his side are capable of overcoming any challenge that come before them.

"Everyone performed well. The youngsters who came in the team for the series also played well. As a team, everyone performed their role well, be it a bowler or a batsman. The team effort was good. Our Indian team are capable of playing in any condition. We recently toured West Indies and defeated them. So, either we play in India or in any other country. We are ready to take the challenge," the all-rounder said. Reflecting on his side's key to success, Jadeja stressed that everyone was working hard on their fitness which is why they had been looking good on the field and putting their best.

"We are putting more effort in the gym. So that is the reason we are giving our best performance on the field. I think everyone is looking fit on the ground and playing good cricket for team India. My focus remains that if I am playing for India, I should play well. I have to showcase the talent which I have," he added..
