Hyderabad, Aug 24 : Leading South Indian healthcare major KIMS Hospitals on Friday launched its 7th facility, KIMS ICON Hospital, in Visakhapatnam.

Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the 434-bed hospital spread across 17 acres of land and with two million square feet built-up area in the port city in Andhra Pradesh.
The new facility offers an entire spectrum of medical services through 30 departments.
With the addition of the Visakhapatnam facility, the total capacity of KIMS hospitals in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has increased to 2,554 beds.
"KIMS ICON has best medical professionals comprising leading doctors, skilled specialists, paramedical and nursing staff to respond to growing challenges of healthcare in Vizag today," said Dr Bhaskar Rao, MD and CEO, KIMS Hospitals.

KIMS ICON provides state-of-the-art medical facilities, including 12 operation theatres, medical intensive care unit, surgical intensive care unit, 24-hour MRI scan, and cath lab.
