New Delhi chapter flags off Lloyd-Sheroes summit series with Paytm, Monster.com

New Delhi, Aug.11 : The new reality of workplaces can be fulfilled only by ensuring work-life balance and economic access among women.

These were the highlights of the LLOYD-SHEROES Summit held in association with Paytm and Monster.com here today.

The 4th Edition of the SHEROES Summit's theme was Work Life Bank Balance. Its focus was on the core belief of SHEROES -- India's largest forum for women professionals -- connecting women with economic opportunities and work-life redesign; to meet one's individual needs and tap into the #FutureOfWork.

On the sidelines of the summit, Sairee Chahal, Founder (and) CEO, SHEROES.in, said: The SHEROES Summit has become a beacon of opportunities for women.

The association with a progressive legacy business such as the Lloyd Group is a matter of pride for us.

The SHEROES Summit bears testimony to our relevance in inclusion of women in the supply chain. As the Summit emphasizes, work-life balance along with financial access is a necessity in the changing workplace. It is in fact a pointer to the need of entrepreneurs -- particularly women -- to be holistic in their approach." One of the early sessions was a CXO panel discussion, which included business leaders Pankaj Bansal (Co-Founder and CEO, PeopleStrong), Shilpa Sharma (Co-Founder, Jaypore) and Radhika Ghai Agarwal (Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer, ShopClues).

When I was first approached I wanted to discover the meaning of SHEROES. Someone said, 'She Heroes'. So SHEROES creates She heroes, celebrates them. We want to add on and help SHEROES in doing that. We will continue to work with SHEROES for events such as this to help bridge gender disparity at workplaces," said Mr Singhal after the session.

Another high point of the LLOYD-SHEROES Summit was a panel discussion on the 'Future of Work', the participants of which included SocialCops Co-Founder Prukalpa Sankar; Entrepreneur and Investor Kashyap Deorah;journalist and writer Bee Rowlatt, and UrbanClap's Vice-President (Business Development) Apoorv Jain.

Moderated by Rituparna Chatterjee, Deputy Editor, HuffPost India, the panel concluded that flexi timing enhances women participation in the current entrepreneurial community.

A rejuvenating yoga session, led by Aikya Yoga Founder Ruchi Phool, underlined the significance of balance between mind and body.

The session was preceded by short takes with Dare to Be author Rinku Paul and former cricketer Anjum Chopra.
