New Jersey: 2 killed in Teterboro Airport crash

New York [USA], May 16 : A pilot and co-pilot were killed in a Learjet crash Monday afternoon near Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

The plane crashed in a residential area about a half-mile from the airport, the CNN quoted the Federal Aviation Administration as saying.

There were no injuries on the ground, the police said. The flight had departed from Philadelphia International Airport. Video from the crash showed smoke billowing in the air. The airport is 12 miles from midtown Manhattan. It handles general aviation and charter flights, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
