Nainital (Uttarakhand) [India], Jan. 20 : The notification for assembly elections in Uttarakhand will be issued today. The polling for all 70 constituencies will be held in the state on February 15 in a single phase. With the issuing of this notification, the polling process would start to elect the fourth assembly in the state.
The nomination would be filled up till January 27 and will be scrutinized on January 30 while February 1 is the last date for withdrawal.
The district and other assistant returning officers have made arrangements in their offices for filling of nominations.
The number of security personnel at sensitive places has been also increased..
