New Delhi [India], Apr 13 : Largest cinema exhibition company in India PVR on Thursday announced its partnership with ePayLater to offer first of its kind "Buy Now, Pay Later" movie ticket booking experience to the movie goers.
The newly launched initiative by PVR will facilitate micro credit facility to its customers. Through this association, customers can avail easy payment options while booking tickets online. It does away with the hassles of traditional payment channels which involve inputting lengthy card details, multiple page redirects and authentications and offers a completely frictionless checkout experience.
"By being an early mover in offering 'Book now, Pay later' service to our website users, we aim to bring frictionless commerce to India.
PVR has always been at the forefront of technological innovations and delivered successful pilots in the recent past such as UPI, Visa Paywave to ensure a seamless payment experience.
This alliance with ePayLater is another significant move towards ensuring a comprehensive customer service experience for all our guests," said Chief of Strategy PVR, Kamal Gianchandani.
"Customers availing this service will have 14 days from the date of booking and can pay anytime during the period, instead of having to pay at the time of booking.
Even better, they can club multiple tickets in a single aggregated payment," added Gianchandani. ePayLater service will cover not just the movie tickets, but also food and beverage orders placed along with movie tickets.
ePayLater service will also benefit those customers who do not have access to cards or are not very comfortable booking tickets using credit or debit cards.
It leverages proprietary credit and fraud assessment techniques towards enabling credit as a payment method to a wide se of customers.
"We here at ePayLater are all very excited about our partnership with PVR, which is synonymous to superlative customer experience in India.
With this partnership, we roll out a red carpet to the eligible customers by providing a fast lane checkout thus ensuring a smooth entertainment experience.
This would be first of its kind booking experience in India, and would be useful to customers across spectrum," said co-founder ePayLater, AkshatSaxena.
