Mumbai [India], Mar.2 : Prolific Indian opener Rohit Sharma, who has recovered fully from a thigh injury he sustained in October last year, is all set to make his comeback with Mumbai in the ongoing Vijay Hazare domestic 50-overs tournament.
Confirming the news of his return following a successful surgery and rehabilitation, Rohit announced via his Twitter account of his availability for the final two matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy on March 4 and 6.
"Finally done with rehab, Can't wait to play Vijay Hazare on 4th (and) 6th. Thank you to everyone who helped me get here. Counting down the minutes." the star Indian opener tweeted. Earlier, Rohit was not picked for the first two Tests of the ongoing four-match series against Australia which began on February 23 in Pune.
He was also not a part of India's Test, ODI and T20 triumphs against England, having undergone a thigh surgery in London after suffering an injury in the final ODI against New Zealand last year.
Rohit was also not included in the team for the lone Test against Bangladesh which India won by 208 runs.
Mumbai, who are currently placed second in Group C of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, will lock horns with Bengal on March 3 before taking on Andhra (March 4) and Goa (March 6) in their last two group matches in Chennai.
