Johannesburg [South Africa], Aug.30 :Downplaying Lewis Hamilton's stockpile of new engines, Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has said he doubts whether it will give any advantage to the reigning world champion in the 2016 Formula One title race.
Despite taking a 55-place grid penalty at the Belgian Grand Prix, Hamilton produced a sensational performance to finish third while Rosberg strolled to his first victory in Belgium and his sixth of the season.
Rosberg, who is now knocking on the door of penalties, believes that having three new engines wouldn't give Hamilton a big advantage in his quest for a fourth word championship, Sport24 reported.
The 31-year-old German further insisted that he was just looking forward to his upcoming performances and not focusing on the rest of the things.
With the victory at Spa Francorchamps circuit, Rosberg reduced Hamilton's advantage to just nine points in the points table.
