New Delhi [India], September 9 : Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana,who is on a three-day visit to India, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
Earlier, Sri Lankan Minister met his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj on Saturday and held delegation level talks on a range of bilateral issues aimed at further strengthening the India-Sri Lanka partnership.
The two sides discussed the entire gamut of bilateral relations and ways to further deepen the historically close and friendly relations between the two countries.
External Affairs Minister also hosted a lunch in honour of the visiting dignitary. This is Marapana's first overseas visit after assuming office as Foreign Minister. He is accompanied by his spouse and senior officials Prasad Kariyawasam, Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and M.A.K.
