Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Nov. 12: Actor Arjun Rampal on Saturday supported the Centre's decision of scrapping Rs. 500 and 1,000 currency notes, however saying the movie has suffered because of demonetisation. "Producer of my film 'Rock On 2' and the film has suffered because of this as well. But sometimes you have to make some sacrifices. The backbone of people, who stash black money or involved in drug trafficking, terror funding are broken or at least injured due to this," Rampal told ANI.
The 46-year-old actor further asserted that there will be chaos but support the government's move to maintain secrecy, saying there was no other way to announce it.
"I believe and hope that this decision is beneficial in long run; it's time when we must stand together and support the government's decision." he added.
While makers of films 'Saasein' and '30 Minutes' decided to postpone their release, the makers of 'Rock On 2' stuck to their release date.
'Rock On 2' had one of the worst openings of the year collecting barely Rs.2.2 crores on Friday, as reported by film critic Taran Adarsh.
