West Palm Beach (Florida) [U.S.A.] Feb. 12 : U.S. President Donald Trump golf outing with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe came under scrutiny by some media houses as the former took his counterpart to the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach which is owned by his family.
Trump took to his social media handle and tweeted a picture of himself and Abe in the golf course. "Having a great time hosting Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in the United States!," Trump tweeted. "Played golf today with Prime Minister Abe of Japan and @TheBig_Easy, Ernie Els, and had a great time.
Japan is very well represented! (sic)," he added. Trump in another tweet informed about the dinner with Prime Minister Abe and his representatives at the Winter White House (Mar-a-Lago).
Abe and his wife have been staying at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in nearby Palm Beach, according to The New York Times.
The media has been kept away from the Trump Golf Course during Abe's visit this weekend to South Florida.
But the latest incident reminded that the Trump's Presidency is mixing his official role with the business that bears his name.
Earlier, Trump had said that he had resigned from positions in hundreds of business entities. The billionaire businessman has received criticism for holding onto his business interests even as he worked on becoming the President.
