Melbourne, Aug 5 : Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc has revealed that he is greatly inspired by Wasim Akram, saying it would be great if he could become half the bowler like the Pakistan legend.
According to Starc, Akram-who was an absolute genius at bowling conventional swing, reverse swing and bowling fast-set the bench mark for all left-arm quicks all across the globe.
The 26-year-old, who claimed his 100th wicket yesterday against Sri Lanka in the second Test at Galle, said it was fantastic to chat with Akram on the couple of occasions he got a chance to work along with, news.com.au reported.
