West Indies defeats India by 11 runs in third ODI

Antigua [West Indies], July 3 : West Indies defeated India by 11 runs in the third match played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua here on Sunday.

Having managed to score only 189 in the allocated 50 overs, the Indies put a brilliant display of bowling and successfully restricted India to 178/10 in 49.4 overs.

From the Indian side, Ajinkya Rahane (60 off 91 balls) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (54 off 114 balls), were the only players who got to their half-centuries.

Interestingly, Dhoni scored India's slowest half-century in 16 years. His knock included only one boundary. Skipper Jason Holder was among the pick of the bowlers for the West Indies as he scalped five wickets, including the price possession of Indian Skipper Virat Kohli, in his 9.4 overs.

Holder was later adjudged 'Man of the Match' award for his splendid bowling performance. India will now take on West Indies in the fourth ODI match on July 6 that will be played in Sabina Park, Jamaica.
